The present book is the 1st volume in the series “Ethnogenomics and DNA-genealogy” within ethnogenomics-historic project ", Sun”. In the book, the author examines the theme “the Ethnogenesis of the Bashkirs: the historiography and current research”.

In connection with the become known in recent scientific results  ethnogenomics DNA genealogy Bashkirs, questions, the Bashkir ethnogenesis and migrations of the ancient peoples of the southern Urals require a more comprehensive study them.

This volume presents the Turanian theory of the origin of the Bashkirs, where the Turanian means the indigenous population of the southern Urals, mainly steppe and forest-steppe landscapes. In this study, the author leaves open the problem of the language of the ancient Turanian tribes.

Additionally, the book summarizes archaeological and ethnic history of the southern Urals, the historiography of the problem of ethnogenesis of the Bashkirs.

In the appendices, the maps, charts, photographs, illustrations, etnographicheskie database Bashkir.
